Brenden Pragasam one of our co-founders and Volunteer donates Face Shields to Hospitals in need
This year when COVID-19 struck, Brenden decided to use his talent and knowledge to serve the community in these difficult times. Brenden designed face shields himself for doctors and medical professionals serving in the front lines and made all the parts in his garage. Instead of waiting for the government or even the hospital management to get protective gear, he approached friends and associates in the medical field, gauged the shortage and made and distributed these shields. He has distributed over 300 shields so far all by himself only with help of his family to Kaiser ICU covid unit, Stanford hospitals and Alameda county hospitals.
Here are some feedbacks from the community:
Thanks to Brenden Pragasam (a senior at SJSU Industrial Design program) and Selvi Pragasam for the donation of face shields. Brenden designed the model himself and made all the parts in his garage. Hats off to such young innovative minds rushing to help the frontliners with our PPE shortage!
A big thanks to InFUSE for sponsoring the materials and all the people who donated towards this cause !
Thank u Manu Saravanan for helping me with the delivery arrangements and logistics. Delivered 40 face shields today at a local hospital ICU!
