InFUSE September 2024 Newsletter: New Center & Summer Highlights
InFUSE Team
InFuse Education Services is very happy to announce that we have a new center that will be used to hold all upcoming classes. The address of the new location is 2680 S. White Road, Ste 153, San Jose, CA 95148.
Below are a list of activities that InFuse has offered during the summer of 2024.
Lego Building Classes with Gautham
LEGO classes for special needs students provide a creative and hands-on learning experience that encourages problem-solving, motor skill development, and teamwork. The sessions create a fun, supportive environment where students can explore their creativity while developing essential cognitive and social skills. Gautham Ram led these classes with the help of volunteers who worked as peers with the kids to complete the project. It was well attended and the overall response from the kids was positive. InFuse will continue to offer classes until the end of the year.
Collaborative Story Book with Aditi
Aditi led a class of kids with different abilities to create AND publish an inspiring children’s picture book centered on the theme of “INCLUSIVITY!” Each child was given a theme that they had to work on creating content related to this theme, helped by a team of dedicated volunteers. This program was a huge success and will be continued until the end of the year.
Dance Class with Bhargavi & Aditi
Dance is always a very popular activity with our kids and this summer, this program was led by two seniors from Kalanityam Dance Academy. Designed to be both fun and accessible, this program helps the students to immerse themselves in the rich traditions of Indian dance music while building confidence - without missing the fun elements that made this program a blast.
Music Therapy Classes with Ranjani
Music therapy for children with special needs is a therapeutic intervention that uses music to enhance cognitive, emotional, social, and motor skills. Tailored to each child’s unique needs, it encourages self-expression, communication, and sensory development through activities like singing, playing instruments, and movement. This therapy creates a safe, engaging environment that fosters growth and builds confidence, often improving overall well-being and quality of life. Ranjani, a classically trained music teacher with several years of experience teaching and leading kids, taught the course that was very well received by the kids in the program. In addition to music, Ranjani incorporated fun activities like singing along to favorite tunes and yoga to keep the classes interesting and engaging.
Friday Funday - Led by Vaibhav Gopalakrishnan
“Friday Funday,” led by Vaibhav Gopalakrishnan, is a vibrant and engaging social interaction class designed to foster communication and bonding among participants. The activities are diverse and interactive, ranging from playing fun, team-building games to discussions about cultural festivals, which helps participants learn about each other’s backgrounds. Casual chats about general topics create a relaxed environment for socializing, while drama script role-plays offer a chance for participants to express themselves creatively and improve public speaking skills. The class also includes exciting field trips to local restaurants, giving everyone a chance to experience new cuisines while practicing their social skills in real-life settings.

Appeal for Donations and Corporate Matching Grants
InFUSE is a 501C3 non-profit and runs only based on donations. We have a center now, and leasing this center is possible only because of your donations. We want to continue to provide more classes and enrichment programs at no cost to you. One way you can help is by checking with your companies if you can log in Volunteer hours. Most companies recognize volunteer hours for non-profits. I know many of you drive long distances to bring your children to InFUSE and wait until classes are done. If you can log in the hours with your company, InFUSE will benefit from it. InFUSE is listed on Benevity as InFUSE Educational Services, so it should not be hard to find us. Thank you so much for all your support—we truly appreciate it. You can donate via our Donate page.
