Working together like the one big family
Infuse is unlike any other camp I’ve been to. Not only is it way more fun, but it also teaches kids so much more. But, Infuse doesn’t teach kids the usual assortment of writing, reading, and math. It teaches kids about teamwork through hands on activities which makes learning so much more fun. The coolest thing about Infuse in my opinion, is that it teaches kids about inclusion and how everyone is different, but not in a bad way. It combines kids with special needs along with volunteers. No matter who people are we should be kind, and make sure they are included. What goes on in Infuse is like an example of how society should be. Some important things I learned at Infuse are about marine life, fire safety, how to make quesadillas, and how to be a good business woman. I also learned how important it is to work as a team and how everyone plays an important part in the group. My favorite part about the summer camp was our field trip to Pump It Up. Not only because it was super fun, but because it was something where every single person could have lots of fun and do. In some projects, some students weren’t as involved as the other children, but at Pump It Up everyone could do everything. Asking for donations at the farmers market for a lot of handmade crafts, taught kids about doing good, working hard, and marketing. Being a part of Infuse was probably one of the best decisions of my life. And it’s so exciting to hear that they are starting an after school program that includes everyone. Infuse was so much fun and I can’t wait to do it again. It was great to see everyone working together like the one big family that we are!
